The commemorative cross, with ribbon and diploma, was established for the personnel of the Italian Armed Forces

in military peacekeeping missions at the United Nations Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), at the Multinational Force

and Observers (MFOs) in Sinai and at the Multinational Force for Lebanon, recognition which has been extended

to the civilian defense personnel and to the volunteer nurses of the Italian Red Cross who are involved in the missions

in Lebanon and Sinai, as well as to military and civil defense personnel who, embarked on ships of the Navy,

participated in the Red Sea Mission.
