The "Folgore" Paratroopers Brigade is the large airborne unit of the Italian Army, employed by

of the Northern Operational Forces Command.

Established January 1, 1963 in Pisa, for the transformation of the pre-existing Military Parachuting Center,

the Brigade has its headquarters in Livorno and is located with most of its departments in

Tuscany (Siena, Pisa, Grosseto, Pistoia) with the 8th Regiment of Paratroopers in Legnago and with the

185th Parachute Artillery Regiment in Bracciano.
