Original Crest Aeronautica Militare Frecce Tricolori
Description
This original CREST of the Italian Air Force represents the Frecce Tricolori, the national acrobatic patrol PAN constituting the 313th Acrobatic Training Group. The Frecce Tricolori were born in 1961 following the decision of the Air Force to create a permanent group for collective air acrobatics training of its pilots. With ten aircraft, nine in formation and one solo, they are the largest acrobatic patrol in the world, and their flight program, including about twenty acrobatics and lasting about half an hour, has made them the most famous. Since 1982, they have used the Aermacchi MB339 A/PAN MLU as their aircraft.
The CREST is made of brass casting on a precious wood base, with measurements of 23 cm x 18 cm.
