Original East German Soldier Coat DDR NVA USED

Original German military coat of the National People's Army, the armed forces of East Germany, used in the second half of the 20th century by German soldiers stationed in the eastern part of the country. The garment is made of heavy wool felt to withstand the harsh temperatures of northern Europe, is lined, has an internal pocket, and features a double-breasted button closure. On the back, there is a deep slit that can be closed with buttons, which runs from the hem almost to the top of the leg, while a horizontal belt is located halfway up the back. The collar can be raised to fully protect the neck, while two large compact protection pockets are located on the hips. The coat is in good condition but may have some signs of wear
